In brief A wide range of sensors, available materials, microswitches and approvals make the 120 series almost suitable for any application in an explosion-hazardous environment, ensuring safety, alarm or lockout intervention. Models with a single SPDT microswitch have dual cable inputs, allowing the choice of the most convenient connection. Sealed bellows, welded membranes(without O-rings) in AISI 316 and AISI 316L offer the possibility of operating in special situations that do not recommend the use of seals or O-rings. Piston models are suitable for pressures up to 690 bar.The 120 series is undoubtedly the family of differntial pressure switches that stands out for the choice of sensors and options available in the field of hazardous area applications. Sensors are of the diaphragm and opposing bellows types. The latter also offer the option of having a local differential pressure indicator, effectively turning it into two instruments in one. There is a choice of models with one or two independent SPDT microswitches and internal or externally protected, double-scale regulation. Microswitches of various features can be supplied, including models with 20A or 30A rating on the contacts. Many certifications, for use in Europe, the Eurasian Confederation, South Korea, China, Ukraina, NorthAmerica, Canada, Brazil, India, the United Arab Emirates, and all countries that recognize IECEx International certification. SIL approval makes them suitable for use in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). |
